New network for researchers working to combat pain

sheffield-pain-networkResearchers who work on pain research are being invited to sign up to a new professional network.

Sheffield Pain Network will hold its launch event at the Edge in Endcliffe Village on Thursday 4 December.

The event and Network is aimed at staff with an interest in pain research from clinical and pre-clinical perspectives, or those who work in areas related to  pain treatment and management.

It will bring together basic scientists, clinicians and pain patient support groups from across the University and the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, and aims to enhance pain research and treatment.

Speakers at the one day workshop will include academics and clinicians who will cover a broad range of topics relating to pain. There will be opportunities to network, and find out about collaborative research and funding opportunities in pain research.

The event is free, but registration is required. The deadline for registration and to submit poster abstracts is Thursday 20 November.
