Ride Across Britain Day 1: Team SUFFER heads south for epic cycling challenge


A team of University staff who are raising money to fund research in Biomedical Science have set off on an epic cycling challenge.

Students, postdocs, professors, lecturers, cleaners and administrative staff have come together to form Team SUFFER (or Sheffield University Fundraising For ‘Earing Research), who are cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats.


This morning they set off from campus in a van to the Cornish coast, where they will begin their nine day adventure, covering 969 miles, as part of the Deloitte Ride Across Britain 2014. The first leg will take them as far as Okehampton.
